PMC Egypt is a full-service production company supporting international film, TV, documentary and commercial productions across Egypt, Morocco and the wider Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other regional markets.
With more than 17 years of experience, we provide filming permits, location scouting, local crews, equipment, transport, logistics and complete production coordination from pre-production through wrap. Our team combines strong local knowledge with international production standards, helping overseas producers navigate complex shoots efficiently, access the right locations and crews, and deliver high-quality productions across the region.

In May and June 2026, I directed a 90-minute episode of the ZDF series Das Traumschiff, entitled NIL. The so-called land-based part of the production was filmed in and around Luxor as well as in Aswan.
The shoot presented us with a number of significant challenges. Temperatures of more than 40°C were relentless, the tightly packed schedule placed enormous demands on logistics, and a German film crew, together with dozens of local and international crew members, had to be transported to and from the sets every day – an exceptional logistical achievement given the sometimes chaotic traffic conditions in Egypt. On top of this, Egyptian bureaucracy is known to require considerable time and patience. Nevertheless, PMC Egypt succeeded in securing all the necessary permits on time, even for some of the most sensitive and challenging locations.
Without PMC Egypt, Producer Sherif Hossny and his team, we simply would not have been able to overcome these challenges. From the initial selection of locations through the subsequent location scouting, PMC Egypt provided us with expert advice and introduced us to truly spectacular filming locations. I honestly did not believe that Sherif and his team would actually manage to obtain permission for us to film at some of these extraordinary places. But they did.
We were able to film scenes in the Valley of the Kings, inside the tomb of Seti I, at the Dendera Temple, the Medinet Habu Temple and at many other remarkable locations. These are places of immense cultural and historical significance, some of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites, where every production has to operate with the utmost care and sensitivity.
And that was only part of what PMC Egypt made possible. Sherif and his team also planned and facilitated filming on the Nile, in the souk, right in the middle of the vibrant streets of Luxor, as well as in the desert, at an oasis and at numerous other extraordinary locations.
Throughout the entire production, Sherif and his crew were consistently professional, supportive and in excellent spirits. Even major challenges were handled with confidence and efficiency – always with a warm smile and a genuinely positive attitude.
I received far more from PMC Egypt than I ever expected. Thank you to PMC Egypt, thank you to Sherif Hossny, and thank you to his fantastic crew.
